LOOKS REALLY COOL! mmm.... man, how i hate to suck at coding... i tried to check the roll animation and change the animation XML but couldn't find the way to do it just like you... i think i'll stick with characters and animations but not coding, can't get the sintax of the moves right

once you download and install it, you go to edit mode and go to the LOAD browser, select the tengu in the characters TAB and click anywhere in the map to spawn him. double click it's spawn cube and press CTRL+P. the cube'll turn green and once you return to game mode you'll be the TENGUpengpeng102 wrote:hi im new to modding so i don't know how to become the character when i have installed it?

Just checking but have you seen your bat character in the latest flying mod by cryptoseven (from the original double jump mod) because it looks awesome! Been gliding around for hours now.

Ok I'm new to Overgrowth. How do I to spawn the character? I noticed all of the character files in Overgrowth's character folder are .xml documents? So does that mean I need to convert the character file to .xml by downloading some software to convert the file?

It is little different with weapons. There are 2 different objects for weapons, one is static- like building block on your map that you can increase and decrease in it's size, the other object is the item that your character can carry around and fight with it. The same goes with "armor pices" like those wooden plates that you can attach to your characters body.

Awesome character.
There is one tiny, tiny thing I would like to see in your character mods.
Please put the thumbnails in a "Characters" folder so that are actually displayed in the spawner.

been working on triying to understand what does it take to make some custom attacks... the tengu was the ideal option to try some of this stuff, so here it is, a couple of moves.. maybe not so clear but you get an idea... still lacks a original close attack, something to change the soccer kick and the roundhouse,but it's kind of cool so far i guess. he's got a unique idle pose too!
