Haha, nice concept art! XD

Are you going to draw references, or are you going to wing it as you go? There are some parts, like under the arms and the top of the muzzle, that might be tricky.

I get to my books and a scanner late next week, and I have this book. It features detailed pictures of the armor, both photographs and period drawings. I'll post the images, you'll probably find them interesting even if you've finished the modeling at that point.

Well,the drawing was just because of fun...
for the models itself i try to make samurai-like stuff and exagerate the proportions a bit & simplify so details dont get lost and it fits in the og style.
the book looks cool, i only have some magazines on my own... And the interwebz
i started making some body armor & fittet it to the dog soldier, but the attachment points just dont fit

well i partly added what i suggested in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=18819&p=200193#p200193

when passive blocking you now loose one armor plate, you cant throw and blood is removed when sheating.
its all is specific to the katana, so it shouldnt effect other weapons

also made a new blade for the katana with more detail & less polys and the sheated position is now with the blade up

i havent found a possibility to detect the armorposition in angelscript, so it now always removes a random item and im still stuck with the animations

Sorry but that looks wrong, the blade should be down, not facing up.

but but thats how i learned it, so you can make a cut while unsheathing
i still need to override the unsheathanimation somehow to make it look good, as its just grpagnhp right now

updated scripts for a202 and corrected sheate xml so the char now puts the katana always in it, files in first post

hey is tarted to make body armor and created a torso.xml attachement file for it:

Katana+Sheath works, armor is broken. Spawns a checkered whaleman statue. Same with the levels.

ok, i checked the pathes and it should be working.
make sure you merge both data folders correctly. you might have problems on linux / mac os as i didnt checked capital spelling. are there any errors?
i also made an update and added my wip body armor and apllied the script changes of a 205
