Why don't you make a version of the website that only works with IE6, and have the main page redirect to it when it detects IE6? That was my initial thought, however, I tested the page in IE6, expecting it to totally blow up, but it actually ended up looking pretty decent.
It was not actually that much extra work, but it limited my options a little bit. We have something planned though that we will probably blog about pretty soon that will really let me show off my web skills.
