Anyone who dosen't already know this: the easiest way to kill wolves is by tripping them and while they're on the ground, hit them 3 times with a staff and they're dead.

That's if you have a staff, which is why I said imporvise, and please don't bump old topics.

Make them roll off edges, jump into eachother, and knock them into each other (One of the Temple scenario levels makes this too easy...)...

When do wolves ever get killed by colliding in mid-air? I don't think that's ever happened.

I've been playing a level in the Empire expansion called "Dante's Settlement" and I just can't seem to beat it. It's a real mouse-breaker. You have to fight three wolves at once with no weapons. Isolating them from eachother is easy enough, but I keep getting in these 5-minute battles that always end with one of them soccer-kicking me into the 13th dimension. Rabbit kicks are good and all, but the only way they ever work even slightly reliably is when I've already pretty much broken every bone in the wolf's body. Renegade, you beat Empire, right? Did you use some secret tactic, known only to the Wolfire Elders or some shit, or did you just get lucky? XD

Sry about double-post, I also wanted to say that they must be upped from the original, because the three wolf mission in the vanilla campaign gave me little trouble, if any.

They probably were, it's not too hard to make enemies harder, what you want to do is jump and flip over their heads because flipping confuses them, then I generally go for a bit of a kidney punch and after a few times of that I'll attempt a rabbit kick, or you could always just be really good at countering, that's a bit less stale.

When I get in a dog fight (Wolf fight) I just use a knife then flip in the air right behind him to backstab the wolf... Or I just spam the sweep kick.

ah but in this case he was talking about a level in which you have to fight three wolves sans knife.
