Thanks, Surak.

Also, today I finished the low poly's antlers. These were kind of difficult, so I'm glad they're done.
1,632 tri so far, not counting the eyes. (That's according to Blender.)

EDIT: Also also, since I kept forgetting... Just updated the main post to current progress.

What? An update?

Alright, got more progress in today. Did the neck, torso and arms.
2,226 tri so far. Trying to keep it low, but still achieve a nice look.

You might've noticed, but I like building each piece/set of pieces separate, so there are gaps between the three new sections still. ...That also means I've haven't attached the antlers yet.
Probably get in more progress today (since I'm on the part of the low-poly I like doing).

Oh look, another update!

And three or so hours later there's a bottom half to go with that top half.
3,222 tri so far (according to Blender). Number seems a little iffy. Have 3,274 adding up the pieces myself. Difference isn't huge, though, so it doesn't seem like it'll be an issue.

Still have yet to do the tail and hands. And I haven't gotten around to the mouth yet either. But I'll probably be stopping here for the day. If you see another update today, well... obviously I didn't. -shrug-
EDIT: Updated the main post while I was at it.

An update of a different color.

Alright, so I forgot to make a post for adding the hands and tail the other day, but I attached everything today, so here's another update on progress. (The antlers and head are still not attached, though.) I have yet to do the inside of the mouth yet, either. But still, progress.
3,918 tri right now. (According to Blender, again.)

Thought I'd turn the camera to the side so you could see his hands and a bit of the tail.
I think I'm on goal for the tri count (or I am as far as I know). Characters for OG seem to range from 3/4000 to 7/8000 and I'm right around 4k.
...I'll do the sculpt for the teeth later.

If you have any questions, concerns, etc. about how the low-poly/high-poly have turned out, please let me know. It'd be helpful. Info about structuring the low-poly would be particularly helpful, if you see anything that looks amiss.

(A joke.)

And now a break from our normally scheduled programming.
I was noticing that the deer was looking very bulky. And it reminded me of that one boxing meme.
[+] Yes, that one

So I thought, let's put a moustache on the deer. And a monocle. And some ridiculous eyebrows. okay... it got out of hand.
Mm, yes. Indubitably.

What have I done

No, this isn't staying on the low-poly. I just decided to have some fun with the model to unwind a little. Sorry not sorry haha
I may or may not have laughed like this every time I saw the view count go up.

it's been a whole year since my last update... let's just say I had a very busy year. I feel bad about leaving you all in suspense for so long; you've all probably given up hope by now, which I totally understand. my interests kinda moved away from modding and such (or at least, from this project), so I've decided to upload the files for you guys to play with and use

I've been tossing the idea around of releasing the files for a while now and decided I probably wasn't going to get back to work on this, so here all yins are:
mediafire link

regrettably, there's not nearly as much muscle detailing as I would've wished - I was terrible at anatomy (still kind of am) - but there's 3 files and a readme. hopefully useful to someone out there
