I am really not all that much into metal, but bands like Dir En Grey make me question that again and again. Obscure is actually the first song I heard from them. The video is strange, but really well done and visually amazing. From what I've heard the song is about abortion and how casually Japan deals with it. So it seems to be a complete package. The song also shows really nicely how diverse this band is. It has really hardcore metal elements, screaming, shouting, growling and on the other hand also really melodic parts with great singing and fitting instrumentation.
Easy 10/10 from me, for the video and the song.
And just to show you the range of this band again.
(No, the video is not muted for the first 30 seconds.)
I feel the urge to copy and paste something with this, but I won't.
It's very simple, but that's the beauty of it. I really like stuff like this. Very versatile and epic at the same time.
8/10

Dir En Grey really isn't my thing visually. But their music isn't too bad. 6/10.
I've been on a Tales of Xillia 2 kick recently, and the music for it is great. its not stuff I generally hear while playing JRPGs (At least in town and some of the fields).
