That's what I was saying to zatoichi, who was under the impression that playing music in Winamp or some shit is a capable substitute.

Yea man. Who has seen Bad Taste?
it was a movie that Peter Jackson made as a Teen.
It was a Slap Stick Horror (more Comedy)
but the music was so well put together. when you fist see it its like OMFG Movie Derek! No Derek! Oh Look out for that Sledge hammer.
Phew that was close... but look out for that Alien you were Interrogating!
Oh there he goes Flying Down that Cliff. Screams out "AAAAAAH MOMEY" followed by the Crunching of Bones, the Exploding of blood as he falls on some jagged Rocks. the howl al-deal sounds funny but Fist time, the music is so well done you get the slits.

oh man, that was a great movie. And all I was trying to say is that you can always find music that you think fits the game better than the original music and put it in. Not everyone has the same taste in music, and no matter how good it is, someone isn't going to like it, but you can deal. I guess what I mean is, there is no point getting all worked up about it.

Well, there's just as much point getting worked up about it as there is a point in getting worked up about the quality of the gameplay.
Music is, as has been proven countless times before, a huge aspect of the game's appeal, and without proper music the mood is often ruined for the game.
Shadow Of The Colossus displayed how huge a part music can play in a game. That game would have had half the appeal if it had not had the same musical score it did. It just gave the game surreal atmosphere.
The music for the first Lugaru, even though it did not cost the thousands that some game's musical scores have no doubt costed, gave me the feeling of the same surreal atmosphere.

While I agree that music is important, I think it's exaggerating to say that it’s as important as game play. you can’t exactly switch out the the game play if you don’t like it.

Who's ever played Doom II?
I doubt there is not one of you who have not. its an old Shitty Peace of Crap now but good for its days. The Music in the Game was Very well put together. it may not have had any Changes in the Moment but was music you would want to hear as you are Filling some Rotting Zombis full of Lead. it sounds very Alien as well as Horror and combined a bit of Rock and stuff. thats the Good Stuff.
